Hundreds of dogs, cats at The Animal Foundation adopted in April

Las Vegas (KSNV) — The Animal Foundation is sharing some paw-sitively new adoption numbers from last month.

According to the shelter, a total of 593 pets were adopted in May. One hundred and forty of those were cats, 392 were dogs, and 61 were other types of pets.

Additionally, the shelter helped provide 290 families with pet food from their KEPPT pantry, collecting 2,200 pounds of food. 8,257 cans of food were also handed out through the pantry.

Volunteers also spend 3,565 hours lending their time to provide care for the animals at the shelter, with a total of 241 people.
