FILE - This undated file photo provided by Eric Paddock shows his brother, Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock. Police initially said Stephen Paddock stopped firing on the music festival concert crowd below to shoot through his door and wound a Mandalay Bay security guard who was outside. On Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, they said the guard actually was wounded before Paddock started the massacre. (Courtesy of Eric Paddock via AP, File)

The cremated remains of Stephen Paddock have been handed over to his brother, according to the Clark County Coroner.

Eric Paddock collected the remains on Thursday morning.

The Clark County Coroner released the following statement:

The cremated remains of Stephen Paddock were given to his brother Eric this morning.

Due to security concerns, we felt it was important to deliver the remains in a secure manner, which was accomplished.

As you know, we recently released the cause and manner of death in this case. At this time we are not releasing any additional information related to this case.

The shooting investigation is still ongoing well after Paddock's death.
