NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (KSNV) -- North Las Vegas Police have identified the 17-year-old suspect accused in connection with the shooting and killing an 11-year-old girl last week.
Erin Hines was arrested and charged with a count of open murder, conspiracy to commit murder and three counts of attempted murder, according to court records.
He is scheduled to appear in North Las Vegas Justice Court on Wednesday for felony arraignment.
11-year-old Angelina Erives was struck by at least one bullet that Leavitt said entered through a window or wall on Thursday, Nov. 1.
Police said that a car full of suspects pulled up, got out of the car and started shooting in the wrong home. Police believe the shooters intended to target another house in the area in retaliation for an earlier gang dispute.
An armed neighbor nearby heard the gunshots and fired at the suspects, hitting one of them.
That person, identified as 19-year-old Guy Lee Banks III, died from his injury. The neighbor is not facing any charges.
