24 people were displaced in an apartment fire in the central valley Tuesday evening, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue reported.

Fire crews were dispatched to the 4000 block of Silver Dollar Avenue, near Pennwood Avenue and Valley View Boulevard, at approximately 7:15 p.m.

Heavy flames blowing out the front and rear windows were found upon arrival at the Greenville Park Apartmentsl, an eyewitness video revealed.

According to firefighters, the blaze was contained to the second floor of one apartment building and was under control in eight minutes.

No injuries were reported. 24 people were being assisted by the Red Cross of Southern Nevada.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation but crews estimated damage at $35,000.
