LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Police say eight people were arrested during New Year's celebrations on the Las Vegas Strip and Fremont Street, while another 25 people were booked for driving under the influence.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police released their final statistics for the festivities held on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.

One person was arrested on a felony, three for warrants, one for a gross misdemeanor and three for misdemeanors.
In a separate DUI blitz, police say 262 vehicles were stopped and 161 citations were issued.
Twenty-five people were arrested for DUI, while one other person was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
