LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) — Multiple people were injured in an accident on the northbound I-15 near the Washington Avenue exit.
The crash happened around 7:43 p.m. Saturday evening on the U.S. 95 NB to the I-15 NB interchange, north of the Spaghetti Bowl.
According to NHP Trooper Jason Buratczuk, the crash involved a black Toyota passenger car and a silver passenger bus from a local helicopter tour company.
The Toyota was in the fast lane when it swerved into the middle lane and hit the passenger bus, causing the bus to roll onto its side.
Trooper Buratczuk says at least 13 injured, with one person listed as critical.
Multiple hospitals received patients injured in the crash including UMC and Sunrise Hospital. At least 6 of those transported are at UMC.
According to NHP, the cause of the crash was unknown, but the driver of the Toyota was arrested on suspicion of DUI and taken to the Clark County Detention Center.
10 Las Vegas Fire & Rescue units responded to the scene to help with those injured.
There are heavy traffic delays with cars backed up on the I-15 at least to the Sahara Avenue exit.
