On Tuesday, May 29. Caesars Foundation will present Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada, a local member of Meals on Wheels America, with a new meal delivery vehicle during a special ceremony.

The new van, with custom refrigeration and freezer compartments, will allow Catholic Charities to deliver 8,990 meals each month to older individuals valley-wide.

The addition to the Las Vegas Meals on Wheels fleet will help deliver greater access to meals and weekly well-being checks for home bound seniors in the Las Vegas Valley.

Caesars employee volunteers will help load the vehicle with meals and pet food for home bound seniors as part of the company’s HERO program.

Approximately 600 Meals on Wheels clients along the Las Vegas delivery routes have a pet companion.

Studies have shown that not only are pets critical to seniors emotional well being, many pets may serve as a seniors only form of companionship.

Caesars Foundation is committed to helping older individuals live longer, healthier and more fulfilling lives at every stage of the aging process.

The event takes place at 10:30 a.m., located at 1501 N Las Vegas Blvd Las Vegas, Nevada 89101.
