The summer fun is about to begin and local students are invited to show off their break with a new book.

The Clark County School District (CCSD) is launching its annual social media challenge, the Summer Reading Photo Contest.

Parents and students can participate by posting photos of their reading adventures with the hashtag #ReadWithMeCCSD and be eligible to win a prize.

The school district encourages creative photo submissions such as reading in an interesting place, reading something other than a book, or reading to a sibling, pet, or other fascinating friends.

Those who don’t have social media can participate by submitting photos via email to communications@nv.ccsd.net. Parents also have the option to share a photo only using the hashtag, while separately emailing their student’s name, school, and photo to enter the contest.

All entries are due before July 26.
