LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Clark County School District (CCSD) Community Engagement Unit is partnering with Green Our Planet and Bank of Nevada to present the Biannual Student Farmers Market on Thursday, Nov. 8.
Billed as the largest of its kind, the free event will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater, located at 500 S. Grand Central Parkway.
The market is open to public and is run by students from 40 schools in Southern Nevada, selling fruits and vegetables grown in school gardens.
The community is invited to attend as well as purchase items from students.
Those expected to attend include Green Our Planet CEO and Co-Founder Ciara Byrne and Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick.
