Classes, activities canceled at CCSD schools on Friday


    The school day, CCSD reports, will need to be made up at the end of the school year.

    The Clark County School District is canceling all school and after-school activities, including athletics and Safekey, on Friday, February 22.

    The cancellation comes as a result of reports of potential freezing conditions on the roads that would be unsafe for school buses during the morning commute.

    School was in session on Thursday despite the snow, but the cold weather led to the cancellation of after-school activities.

    The school day, CCSD reports, will need to be made up at the end of the school year.

    Below is the statement from CCSD:

    The Clark County School District is cancelling all school and after-school activities, including athletics and Safekey, tomorrow, February 22, 2019 due to reports of potential freezing conditions on the roads that would be unsafe for school buses during the morning commute.
    All students are excused from school tomorrow. The school day will need to be made up this school year.
