ORIGINAL STORY:

Normal operations have resumed at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino following a fire on Thursday night.

According to Bellagio's Twitter page, all resort operations are open on Friday.

Crews with the Clark County Fire Department are investigating the fire that was reported on Bellagio's roof above the Retail Esplanade escalators.

The fire was reported around 10:46 p.m.

According to CCFD Chief Roy Session, no retail shops were affected by the fire and were already closed at the time.

There were no reported injuries.

The fire quickly spread because of the wind.

Assistant Fire Chief, Larry Haydu says the fire was reported to be on the roof of the building on the south side of the lake.

After crews arrived on scene, the fire was knocked at 11:09 p.m.

Haydu says crews began an overhaul on the building.

Las Vegas Boulevard was shut down at the time of the fire.
