Crews respond to apartment fire in central Las Vegas valley

Crews responded Thursday morning to an apartment fire in the central valley.

Firefighters could be seen at an apartment building on Brussels Street, near Desert Inn Road and Maryland Parkway.

Clark County Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Buchanan said in an email that crews responded just before 6:15 a.m. to find smoke and flames coming from a first-floor apartment.

They were able to knock down the fire in a few minutes, and no injuries were reported, according to Buchanan.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, and it's unclear if anyone has been displaced as a result.
