LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) — The daughter of an overnight security guard killed more than a year ago says she was given a heads-up that more arrests were coming.
“Just knowing the faces, and connecting the names and connecting the story, is hard. It’s difficult to accept,” says Amber Santee.
Mark Santee was killed April 26, 2016 while working as an overnight security guard at an apartment complex construction site on the 5100 block of South Jerry Tarkanian Way, near West Tropicana Avenue and South Fort Apache Road.
On Friday, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department announced the arrests of Julian Lamar Warren and Deandre Lamar Daniels in connection to Santee’s death. Both men were already in custody, accused of unrelated crimes.
Three people are currently charged in Santee’s death. Raymond Padilla was arrested in March.
In the arrest report on Padilla, detectives say Santee was shot to death during the theft of flat-panel televisions.
Padilla, who has been indicted in this case, is scheduled to head to trial on June 12. Warren made his initial court appearance Friday and is scheduled to return to Justice Court on June 12. Daniels will make his initial court appearance on Tuesday.
