Our Vegas Golden Knights are heading to the playoffs, and the first playoff game sold out within minutes of going on sale today.

Fans have a whole lot to be proud of. Not only are the Golden Knights going to the playoffs, but on Saturday the Knights made history again, becoming Division Champs in their inaugural season. The Golden Knights defeated the San Jose Sharks 3-2 on Saturday, clinching the title.

Goalie Marc-Andre Fleury says it felt like a playoff game. And he and his teammates still have plenty more to do.

"The season went by so quick," said Fleury. "A lot has happened. It was fun. Such a great experience throughout the season."

"It's coming down to crunch time," said Shea Theodore, a defender for the Golden Knights. "Not sure who we'll play yet but we're going to be ready."

Because of the Golden Knights' win, they now have home ice advantage for the first two rounds of the playoffs.

As for tickets, team management says it's not too late, despite the first game selling out early.

"At this point, we still have seats available," said Golden Knights President Kerry Bubolz." We get a lot of potential holds, as those get released fans should be checking back, even on game day.

And even after practice fans line up outside hoping for a final glimpse of their favorite players.

Karsen Smaka has been lucky so far collecting autographs on his hockey stick.

"I got William Karlsson, Brad Hunt, Deryk Engelland," said Smaka, naming off the players that brought hockey to the desert.

Fans are pumped, and Las Vegas locals are showing some homegrown support for the team.

"You know, we were happy just having the team here to start,” said Las Vegas resident Samuel Dean. “This was just the cherry on top."
