Lake Havasu City (KSNV) — A teenager is dead following a dirt bike accident inside a wash In Mohave County, Arizona.
The incident happened on Friday, December 30, at around 4:30 pm in the area of Standard Wash outside of Lake Havasu City.
According to The Mohave County Sheriff's Office (MCSO), deputies responded alongside the Lake Havasu City Fire Department and River Medical to reports of a dirt bike versus a side by side collision that occurred several miles into the desert east of Highway 95.
The 18-year-old male dirt bike rider was located unconscious and unresponsive with bystanders on the scene performing CPR.
Deputies continued with CPR, prepped the victim, and transported him to Havasu Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
No other injuries were reported to any passengers in the side by side.

An investigation later found that the dirt bike was traveling eastbound in a wash, and the side by side was westbound when the vehicles struck each other head-on around a curve.
The victim was later identified as Kaden Abal of Lake Havasu City and was found to have been wearing a helmet and proper riding gear.
Officials believe speed was a factor in the incident.
