The final preparations are now underway for the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. The dream home will be given away to one lucky winner this October.

The home is currently still under construction and before the floors get put in, the organization held a floor signing ceremony for those who have made the dream (home) a reality.

From the builders to the home's donors/sponsors and local St. Jude families, dozens of people gathered at the home Thursday to leave their signatures on the foundation -- permanently symbolizing why, and for who, the home was built.

This is the first dream home St. Jude is is giving away in Nevada.

To enter your name into the October drawing, you'll need to purchase a $100 raffle ticket which will benefit St. Jude.

And, whether your ticket is chosen or not, it is arguably a win-win for everyone. Every ticket purchased helps St. Jude kids and the mission of St. Jude: Finding cures. Saving children.

Through the support of those ticket sales, the organization's families will never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food. St. Jude believes families should only have to worry about helping their child live.

"He's just a strong little warrior. He's never sad; he always has an upbeat personality. He's like, 'Mom I got this!' But, he's just my baby," said Tammi Ramirez.

Ramirez's 10-year-old son, Jacob, is currently fighting an inoperable brain tumor. The family spent eight weeks in Memphis, Tenn. this year at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for his treatment.

The Ramirez family was not charged a single penny for any of the trip's expenses.

"You definitely need to buy (a ticket)! This house is nice," said Jacob.

Only 8,500 tickets for the dream home will be sold. As of Thursday, more than 5,000 tickets had already been purchased.

To enter, you need to be over the age of 18 and a Nevada resident. To purchase a ticket call (800) 378-5386 or click here:
