Floyd Mayweather Jr. selling rare $4.8 million hypercar
LAS VEGAS - Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. is already planning major purchases ahead of his rumored billion-dollar-bout with UFC brawler Conor McGregor.
Mayweather is reportedly planning to "replenish" his fleet of super- and hyper-cars already valued in the millions of dollars with a line of brand new cars - so say sources close to the fighter.
To partially fund his purchase - not that he needs to - Mayweather is planning to off-load his ultra-rare $4.8 million Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita.
"Floyd's Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita is one of two cars built in the world, and the only USA Spec Trevita in existence," Floyd's car guy Obi Okeke from DoctorBugatti.com, said. "Floyd's hypercar has 1018 horsepower and is classified as the 'Bugatti fighter' with a top speed of over 245 m.p.h."
Sources close to the world champ say he's selling the car to refresh his inventory, and has his eyes on a new $20 million yacht to go with his mansion in Miami.
Forbes estimates Mayweather's net worth at around $340 million in 2016.
