Free 4th of July fireworks shows happening around Las Vegas

The 4th of July is almost here, and a variety of firework shows are being prepared across the valley, many of them are free to you.

The firework show tradition here at Red Rock Casino Resort is taking place once again thanks to the people at Fireworks by Grucci. It's a 10 minute-long firework show happening simultaneously at Red Rock and at Green Valley Ranch Resort.

Crews have been working since Sunday to make it happen. By the time they finish, more than 650 man hours will have gone into the set up.

Something new taking place this year is a throwback -- a daytime festival leading up to a separate firework show at night.

"We are resurrecting an old tradition at the neighboring Texas Station and Fiesta Rancho that dates back to the late 90s. It was called Battle of the Alamo. It was an incredible dueling firework show and celebration, so we are doing a big block party at both properties starting at 4 p.m.,” said Lori Nelson with Station Casinos.

Remember, safe and sane fireworks are the only legal ones you're allowed to shoot off. Leave the big ones to the professionals.

The shows are free and start at 9 p.m. If you want a good spot to watch them, come early. Parking is going to fill up quickly.
