Port of Subs Las Vegas is offering free meals to first responders through Sunday, Oct. 8. (Alfredo Garcia)

A number of Las Vegas-area businesses have come together to support the victims and first responders of the Las Vegas shooting tragedy.


Port of Subs is offering free meals and food to first responders through Sunday, Oct. 8 at their 39 locations in Southern Nevada. On Monday, they also drove around town delivering food to hospitals (Spring Valley, UMC, Sunrise) and bringing free food to those who were donating at any of the United Blood Services locations, delivering approximately 1,500 sandwiches.


El Cortez is offering a free meal at Siegel's 1941 to all first responders and hospital workers in wake of Sunday night's tragedy. With proof of employment, the complimentary meal will be available now through Sunday, Oct. 8, located 600 Fremont Street.


Burgerim is offering 50-percent off for all on-duty police officers, firefighters, and paramedics. They are located at 9635 Bermuda Road, #190.


PinkCherry owns and operates a warehouse less than a mile from where the tragedy occurred in Las Vegas. On Friday, Oct. 6, sales on will go to support the immediate and long-term needs of the victims of the Oct. 1 shooting; 100-percent of sales up to $100,000 will be donated.

PinkCherry is working with the National Compassion Fund to ensure all funds are distributed directly to the victims ( The National Compassion Fund provides a single, trusted way for the public to donate directly to victims of a mass crime, such as a shooting or terrorist attack. Donations to the Fund are held separately from general donations to the National Center for Victims of Crime.


On Wednesday, Oct. 4, all 30 Tropical Smoothie Cafes throughout the Valley will treat uniformed firemen, police officers, and paramedics to a free meal as a special thank you. The special will run from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. and will include a free combo meal.


Some locally owned Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shops will donate 100-percent of proceeds on Saturday, Oct. 7 to help victims of the horrific shooting on the Las Vegas Strip Sunday.

Participating locations include Ben & Jerry’s at District at Green Valley Ranch in Henderson, Ben & Jerry's inside Sunset Station Hotel & Casino in Henderson, Ben & Jerry’s at Grand Bazaar Shops at Bally’s Las Vegas, and Ben & Jerry’s at Harrah’s Las Vegas.

All of the participating locations are owned and operated by Georges and Joyce Maalouf, Henderson residents and longtime supporters of local charitable organizations.


FirstMed Health and Wellness Center (FirstMed), a community-based health center serving Las Vegas’ underserved populations, is ready and willing to assist victims of last night’s tragic shooting by offering free medical, counseling, prescription review and refills (as appropriate), and support services.

Through 2017 VOCA (Victims of Crime Act) funding from the State of Nevada, FirstMed is in a position to assist victims and their families with costs associated with the tragedy. This includes helping families to cover the cost of flying into Las Vegas or covering the cost of helping victims to fly home, temporary housing, extending hotel room stays, food, clothing, personal hygiene items, new prescriptions and prescription refills, and items for children and infants.

All Capriotti’s locations nationwide are accepting donations for the Las Vegas Victims' Fund – a fund to assist the victims of the tragic shooting. Meanwhile, all Capriotti’s restaurants in Las Vegas are offering a free upsize to a medium to any customer making a donation to the fund. Each Las Vegas location is also offering free 9-inch subs to police officers to say thank you for their bravery through next Friday, Oct. 13.


La Paloma Funeral Services has opened a GoFundMe account and is offering to raise money to fund the funeral services for the victims of the Oct. 1 shooting, regardless of which funeral services company they go through. In addition, Simple Cremation, a sister company of La Paloma, announced it will provide cremation services for victims of the shooting at no cost to their families or the fund. The Nevada-owned company with three locations statewide is working with Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak’s office to coordinate.

In the wake of this week's tragedy, Drai's Cares, the nonprofit community engagement arm of Drai's Las Vegas at The Cromwell, will donate 100 percent of all revenue from Drai's Nightclub and Drai's After Hours on Thursday, Oct. 5, to the Las Vegas Victims' Fund in an effort to provide assistance to the victims and families of the Route 91 Harvest festival shooting. Drai's Nightclub and Drai's After Hours will open at 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. respectively on Thursday night. Tickets and table packages are on sale now, and may be purchased at


Club Tattoo, the world’s leader in high-end tattoo and body piercing with six locations across Arizona and Las Vegas, will be offering $50 small Las Vegas-themed tattoos from Thursday, Oct. 5 until Monday, Oct. 9. All proceeds from the tattoos will be donated to the Las Vegas Victim’s Fund.

The GoFundMe account, set up by Clark County Commission Chair Steve Sisolak, will provide relief and financial support to the victims and families of the tragic Las Vegas mass shooting, including funeral costs and long-term medical care.

Galleria at Sunset confirmed that the previously announced Oktoberfest event will still take place on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. In light of Sunday’s tragedy, half of all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Las Vegas Victim’s Fund. All Smith’s Food & Drug stores in Southern Nevada will be asking each customer to “round it up” at the cash register to help with medical expenses of those injured in the Las Vegas Mass Shooting. All donations will be given to local hospital foundations to assist the patients they are serving. The fundraiser ends Monday, Oct. 9.

In addition, Smith’s donated 21 pallets of needed food donations to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to provide meals for officers during their 12-hour shifts (water, Gatorade, potato chips, granola bars, breakfast bars, protein bars, trail mix, etc.). The company has also partnered with the Ronald McDonald House of Southern Nevada, preparing 2,000 lunches for University Medical Center and Sunrise Hospital.


In light of the recent and horrific tragedy that impacted our community earlier this week, Freddie Glusman, owner of Piero’s Italian Cuisine, and actress and singer Pia Zadora invite the community to gather in support of the brave officers of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD). This Thursday, Oct. 5 from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m., Piero’s Italian Cuisine will hold a fundraiser to benefit Friends of LVMPD Foundation. The Foundation aims to raise funds to support and supplement LVMPD programs and initiatives.

“While we hope that these tragedies are never a reality, the officers are well-trained and they showed tremendous dexterity and valor during the terrible events that took place Sunday,” said Tom Kovach, executive director of Friends of LVMPD Foundation. “We are grateful to Mr. Glusman for his generosity in hosting this event and we hope the community will be there to show their support and stand in solidarity during this difficult time.”

A local franchisee for Church's Chicken is doing all that he can to aid those working in the aftermath of Sunday's shooting. Tony Lufty delivered and donated over 200 meals Wednesday night to the UMC hospital which went towards hospital staff - doctors and nurses, and Thursday at noon, his team will be heading to the Metropolitan Police Station to donate more food for our local heroes.


Dirt Dog will provide a meal (hot dog and drink) to all first responders and police officers now until Sunday closing at their two Vegas locations: 8390 S Rainbow Boulevard #100 and on the Strip at 3649 S. Las Vegas Boulevard, Suite 617.


CRAFTkitchen will have a fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 6 to support the victims. They’re also offering free meals to first responders from Oct. 4-6 all day. CRAFTkitchen is located at 10940 S. Eastern Avenue, Suite 107 in Henderson, Nev.


We are feeding all first responders at Mark Rich's Pizza and Pasta restaurant in Summerlin for free. In addition, we have been sending food to areas substations and fed Fire House 47 on Far Hills on Wednesday night.


Air Culinaire Worldwide will be delivering lunch to the brave men and women at Clark County Fire Station 11, and the LV Metro Police Station, both located on Las Vegas Blvd South, Thursday between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m., to thank them for their tireless service and protection.

On Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, Las Vegas was affected by a horrific event. Among the innocent victims of this tragedy were high school cheerleaders at Faith Lutheran and fellow classmates of the daughter of Egg Works and Egg & I owner, Gianna and Natalia Baca.

This weekend, 100-percent of all donations and a portion of the proceeds all sales on Saturday and Sunday will go to help with the medical costs for both Gianna and Natalia Baca. We encourage anyone who wants to donate to stop by any of our six locations and do so.

Additionally, starting Monday, Oct. 9, The Egg Works Family will be running a campaign for an entire month to raise funds to benefit all victims of the Las Vegas shooting through the Steve Sisolak Fundraiser as well as the Code Green Campaign that is working to provide the Las Vegas First Responders with any mental health needs.

Steve Sisolak is the current Clark County Commission Chair from Las Vegas. Having seen first hand with Sheriff Lombardo at Clark County’s only level-one trauma center how tragically our city was hurt, Sisolak is raising funds to assist the victims and their families. His fundraising campaign has already reached almost $9 million.

The Code Green Campaign is a first responder-oriented mental health advocacy and education organization. Also known as Code Green, they serve all types of first responder, including firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, police, corrections, air, medical, and search & rescue. Their primary goal is to raise awareness of the high rates of mental health issues that affect first responders.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. and the Adelson Family Foundation announced they are establishing a $4 million relief fund in memory of the people who lost their lives in the Las Vegas mass shooting, as well as honoring the courageous victims, festival-goers, first responders and medical professionals who joined together to save lives.


Those dining at Texas de Brazil-Las Vegas, 6533 Las Vegas Boulevard South, on Monday, Oct. 9 and Tuesday, Oct. 10 can help raise money for The National Compassion Fund and earn a complimentary dessert by participating. The National Compassion Fund contributes to support the immediate and long-term needs of the victims of the Oct. 1 shooting in Las Vegas, Nev. The funds raised are provided directly to victims and provide critical support to the victims and their families. Barrett-Jackson will rally around Las Vegas first responders and those affected by the recent tragedy with several initiatives during the 10th Annual Las Vegas Auction at the Mandalay Bay Resort on Oct. 19-21, 2017. The entire sale price of a rare 2007 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake to be auctioned will go to a special fund that supports Las Vegas first responders. Barrett-Jackson also plans to support first responders by offering two free tickets to the event, which can be claimed by presenting proper identification at the Mandalay Bay Box Office. In addition, Barrett-Jackson is arranging for on-site donation opportunities that will benefit those affected. On Monday morning, we took coffee to the UMC staff and the Sunrise hospital staff. Since then we’ve been going back-and-forth refilling on coffee. We started a supply drive coordinated by Metro wives for collecting nonperishables at our location on Main Street. We also had STK Las Vegas arrive with three cars full of supplies and we deliver the supplies personally to each command post specifically in our area, which is the Downtown Command post. We are still accepting donations and have had various large donors come in and we have gone to the command post multiple times since Tuesday to deliver. We are continuing to accept donations and also are doing free coffee to the Metro Command post.

Donations that are still needed include: restaurant gift cards for families with a loved one in the hospital, individually-wrapped snacks (beef jerky, protein bars, granola bars, etc), bottled water, individual-sized personal hygiene items (toothbrushes/toothpaste, deodorant, tissues, etc), energy drinks, individual hand sanitizers.

In light of the tragic events that took place on Oct. 1 in Las Vegas, Primm Valley Resort & Casino will donate 50-percent of ticket sales from its inaugural Latin Music Festival, happening on Saturday, Oct. 14 at Star of the Desert Arena, to victims' relief efforts. The donation will support local nonprofits and organizations that are providing immediate and long-term aid and assistance to the Route 91 Harvest festival victims and their families.

The event will feature some of Latin's top musical acts including Latin Grammy Award-winners Café Tacvba, renowned regional Mexican sensation La Adictiva Banda San Jose de Mesillas, and platinum-selling Mariachi Sol de Mexico.

Doors open at 4 p.m. with the first act starting at 5 p.m.

Punks in Vegas has launched Vegas Strong—charity compilation of over 100 bands of varying genres on Bandcamp.

The digital compilation has a starting price of $5— with 100-percent of the money going to the UMC Foundation, which is Las Vegas's only Level 1 Trauma Center.
