Thousands gather downtown for MLK Day parade

On Monday, the nation takes a moment to remember civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

King called for civil and economic rights and an end to racism.

More than 250,000 people crowded the steps of the Lincoln Memorial to hear him deliver his famous "I have a dream" speech.

There was a parade to celebrate the day here in Las Vegas.

It's the largest MLK parade west of the Mississippi.

Thousands of people lined up along 4th Street downtown to commemorate King's life and legacy.

The theme for this year's parade is "One people, One nation, One dream."
