LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Gold Strike Hotel and Gambling Hall south of Las Vegas is getting a name change.
JETT Gaming, part of Terrible Herbst, announced Wednesday that the Gold Strike will be renamed Terrible's Hotel & Casino.
Company executives say the new branding follows upgrades to the gaming floor and remodeling of hotel rooms.
Gold Strike opened back in 1987 just off of Interstate 15, about 25 miles south of the Las Vegas Strip. JETT Gaming purchased the property in 2015.
The name change becomes official on Thursday, Nov. 1, according to a company statement.
