Golf tournament scheduled in honor of Las Vegas teen with rare condition
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) —
A local teenager isn't just one in a million - he could be one in a billion.
Chase was born almost 18 years ago with Mowat-Wilson syndrome, a genetic condition that affects many parts of the body.
His grandmother believes he's one of only a few thousand people on the planet to be diagnosed with the condition.
Chase is non-verbal, but he loves golf, and a charity golf tournament has been organized in his honor.
The tournament is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 2 at Painted Desert. Proceeds will benefit the Mowat-Wilson Syndrome Foundation.
