A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in a North Las Vegas gun store burglary.

The burglary happened on Sept. 14 around 3 a.m. at Guns World on West Craig Road.

"When they go after handguns it takes the caution up a level," said North Las Vegas Public Information Officer, Eric Leavitt.

Surveillance video captured an older Chevrolet truck drop four people off in front of the business. Three of them entered into a vacant storefront next door to guns world, one of them stayed out front as a lookout.

The suspects inside the vacant unit then used some type of equipment to break through a wall and enter the gun shop.

Police say the crooks were in and out of the gun store within minutes; their getaway driver was on stand-by to whisk them away.

The suspects got away with a total of nine stolen handguns.

North Las Vegas resident Nick Rendon says it seems like it was almost too easy for these criminals to get away with the weapons.

"They should always have heightened security, like a bank. Have double doors, security, they shouldn't have the same access to a gun store like they do a restaurant." Rendon said.

However, Officer Leavitt says Guns World had the proper security measures in place. The crooks just found a way around them.

The ATF is offering a $5,000 reward and the National Shooting Sports Foundation is matching that number, making the total reward $10,000.
