#WeatherAuthority: Heavy rain, flood waters sweep the Las Vegas valley

Grab your umbrella, Las Vegas is finally getting some rain!

On Monday, the valley saw raindrops after 116 days of zero rain in sight.

Winter storm warnings have also been issued for the Sheep and Spring Mountains with an expected 6-12 inches of snow above 7,000 feet. Motorists are encouraged to not head to the mountain until the storm clears.

Heavy flooding has been reported around the valley, especially near The LINQ on the Las Vegas Strip. Avoid the area.

A flood advisory has been issued until 6:15 p.m. Low lying areas, washes, detention basins may become flooded.
