The western area Henderson along St. Rose Parkway could hold the key to future economic development of the city.

While Henderson residents are already eager to see a new Costco warehouse set up shop, there’s a lot more development in the works in the area of St. Rose Parkway and Amigo Street.

Paul Sallach is the president of All in Aviation – the latest business to set up shop in the area, which rents out aircraft and serves as a flight school.

“I hope to see every empty lot filled with a business,” said Sallach. “We just finally opened an office here in Henderson where our customers have been begging us to come.”

Henderson Chamber of Commerce Vice President Dan Schwarz told News 3 that developers are looking west and they see a lot of economic potential.

“West Henderson is just another evolution in the city. You go back to the days of Boulder Highway, then there was Green Valley and Insparada and Anthem – now it’s West Henderson, and the growth that’s happening here is phenomenal and there’s a lot on the blueprint to come,” said Schwarz.

The area is rich in land, making it a magnet for developers.
