Henderson police investigate suspected murder-suicide near Eastern, Robindale

HENDERSON, Nev. (KSNV) —
Authorities are investigating a suspected murder-suicide reported late Thursday night in Henderson, according to police.
Officer Rod Peña said officers responded around 11:45 p.m. to a home in the 2800 block of Via Bel Mondo, near Robindale Road and Eastern Avenue, after getting a request for a welfare check.
Inside the home, officers found a 42-year-old woman dead with an apparent gunshot wound.
On Friday afternoon, she was identified as Nicole Barnard. She died of a gunshot wound to the head, according to the Clark County coroner's office.
Another person was found dead with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, Peña said.
The coroner had not confirmed or released his identity as of 3: 30 p.m. Friday.
The case remains under investigation, he said, and exact causes and manners of death are both pending final rulings from the Clark County coroner's office.
A separate case of suspected murder-suicide in Henderson was also reported Thursday night and remains under investigation.
