On Wednesday, around 9:59 a.m., Henderson Police and Fire Departments responded to a shooting incident on the 1200 block of Imperia Drive.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 53-year-old woman deceased and a 74-year-old man holding a handgun.

Officers engaged in negotiations with the armed man for about 40 minutes before he sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities confirmed that this was not an officer-involved shooting.

Preliminary investigations by Henderson detectives suggest the incident was a murder-suicide.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office on Thursday identified the woman as 53-year-old Leah Klass. The man's identity was still pending.

This case marks the third homicide investigation in Henderson for 2025.
