High winds have prompted a ground stop for arrivals at McCarran International Airport and are expected to cause delays on and off all day Friday.

Scheduled arrivals are delayed about an hour. While departure delays are not listed on, the delay of inbound flights is going to delay departing flights, said airport spokeswoman Christine Crews.

"The winds are currently about 30 mph and are expected to be 35 to 40 mph for the next four hours," Crews said. "It is going to be a problem for travelers on and off all day."
