A massive job fair with more than 130 employers took over the Las Vegas Convention Center’s West Hall on Friday.

The number of jobs available at the event totaled more than the population of Boulder City.

There was a huge variety of job positions available with companies including Circa, MGM, RTC, The Boring Company, and Amazon.

Preliminary numbers with about half of the employers reporting, show more than 300 job seekers were hired on-the-spot, with an estimated 1,900 additional job offers expected in the coming weeks pending second interviews, background checks and other employment requirements. More than 2,800 people attended.

Over half of the positions started at $15 per hour but some are much higher.

Some of the job seekers we spoke with liked the set-up of the event and appreciate the opportunity to speak with multiple companies all in one spot.

One man who went by K.J. said he couldn’t pass it up.

“Coming here was a big change for me. I haven’t been to a job fair in a minute, some looking for a job actually like lifted up my confidence to maybe find something,” he said.
