The foundation created by Lady Gaga says it will take an active role in the Las Vegas community while the artist continues her Strip residency.

The Born This Way Foundation said in a press release it will launch programming in Park MGM and work with local schools and nonprofits as part of its presence in Las Vegas.

The announcement included the results of a survey about youth mental health in the Las Vegas community.

Only about half of high school age respondents rated their mental health highly, according to the survey. Nearly nine in 10 people said mental health should be a priority, but half said they rarely or never talk about it.

Lady Gaga began a multi-show residency at Park MGM last month that's scheduled to run through November.
