LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Authorities are looking for the person responsible for shooting and killing at least four horses in Southern Nevada this year.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police say the shootings took place at the Cowboy Trail Rides in the Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area in January, March, June and July.
Lt. David Valenta says in a video that the four horses were shot at close range overnight.
The shootings are intentional, he says, and the person responsible took steps to conceal their identity.
Video and photos shows the shooter wearing a ski mask, gloves and ear protection. They would likely have parked in the area and walked onto the property.
LVMPD is working with the Bureau of Land Management on the investigation.
