LVMPD arrests man accused of sex trafficking underage girls
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) —
An investigation by the Child Exploitation Task Force, comprised of LVMPD Vice detectives and FBI agents, revealed that 24-year-old William Hoard was engaged in sex trafficking multiple under age females.
Hoard made contact with the victims between January and June 2018 via social media, with the youngest victim being 15 years old. Hoard would entice the juveniles with promises of making easy money and protection from harm. Hoard would arrange dates and transportation to meet customers for the purpose of prostitution.
Hoard would then take money from his victims.
On August 15, 2018, the Task Force took Hoard into custody for the following charges:
- Sex trafficking a child under 18 (3 counts)
- Sex trafficking a child under 16 (1 count)
- Kidnap 1st Degree (4 counts)
- Child abuse/neglect (4 counts)
- Accept/receive earnings of a prostitute (2 counts)
Detectives are currently attempting to identify any other victims.
