UPDATE 5:00 PM| NHP says that all travel lanes have reopened.

ORIGINAL| Nevada Highway Patrol is on scene of an auto-pedestrian crash on eastbound Summerlin Parkway near Rampart Boulevard.

The crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. and involved a Republic Services garbage truck and a white male adult pedestrian.

The pedestrian was transported to UMC Trauma in critical condition.

Eastbound lanes of Summerlin Parkway are closed just east of Rampart Boulevard.

Motorists should expect major delays in the area and find alternate routes.

Trooper Smaka with NHP says that no impairment is suspected on part of the driver of the garbage truck.

Troopers are still investigating to find out why the adult male was on the parkway, which has no sidewalks and is not suited for pedestrians.
