Man arrested, charged with murder in case of woman found dead in Las Vegas driveway

The Clark County Coroner's Office says 29-year-old Krystal Seguin died from asphyxia.

The Clark County Coroner's Office says 29-year-old Krystal Seguin died from asphyxia.

Her body was dumped in a man's driveway back in September.

According to an arrest report, surveillance videos showed a blue pickup pulling into a parking lot next to the man's home before heading northbound on Jones.

Detectives believe the driver appeared to be looking for a dumpster.

Footage captured a body inside the truck bed as well as the rear license plate number. Detectives traced that license plate to Jaime Diaz, who police say has a criminal past.

During the investigation, police interviewed a friend who knew both Diaz and Seguin. That person told investigators there was an arrangement over renting a casita, or small guest house, in Diaz’s backyard.

The friend stated he last saw Seguin alive Sept. 29, the day before she was found dead.

Later in the investigation police interviewed Diaz’s mother, who told them she heard a commotion at the house the day of the murder but was too sick to check out what it was.

She found blood, sugar and women's clothing inside the casita that morning.

The report states when she asked her son about it, Diaz told her not to worry.

Additional video evidence from a home in Diaz’s neighborhood allegedly showed him with Seguin’s body over his shoulder wrapped in a bed sheet.

He then put her in the bed of the truck and drove off.
