Suspect arrested in deadly shooting near Cheyenne and Civic Center
UPDATE ON JULY 11: On Tuesday afternoon, detectives located and arrested Kerry Brock (42), in the 2100 block of Venus, for the shooting death of the 39-year-old male at the convenience store. Brock was booked for murder with a deadly weapon at the Las Vegas City Jail.
The Clark County Coroner's Office identified the victim in the case as 39-year-old Darvious Alexander of Las Vegas.
The Coroner's Office says Alexander died from multiple gunshot wounds, and the manner of death has been officially ruled a homicide.

NORTH LAS VEGAS -- One man is dead after a Sunday night shooting in North Las Vegas.
On Sunday, just before 11:00 p.m., police responded to reports of an injured person near Cheyenne Avenue and Civic Center Drive. They found a 39-year-old man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The man was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The preliminary investigation indicates the shooting took place a few blocks north of where the man was found, near the 3300 block of Civic Center Drive.
Police report that the victim and an unknown man got into a confrontation which escalated into a shooting. The suspect fled prior to officers arriving on scene.
The suspect has not yet been found. This is an ongoing investigation and detectives aren't prepared to release a suspect description at this time.
The Clark County Coroner has not yet released the name of the dead man.
