Man dies after two-vehicle crash on Flamingo near Las Vegas Strip
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) —
One person has died after a two-vehicle crash late Wednesday night just west of the Las Vegas Strip, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.
Authorities got a report of a crash on Flamingo Road at Interstate 15 just before 11:30 p.m., Trooper Jason Buratczuk said in an email.
Troopers learned a Chrysler 200 was heading west on Flamingo wast of Hotel Rio Drive when the driver lost control. The Chrysler 200 went into the eastbound lanes, and a Chrysler Town and Country minivan hit the driver's side door.
The driver of the Chrysler 200 was taken to UMC, where he died from his injuries, Buratczuk said. He was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, and troopers suspect excessive speeding was a factor.
The Clark County Coroner's Office identified him as 35-year-old Raymond Camillo Jaramillo.
A passenger in the Chrysler 200 and two people inside the Town and Country minivan were taken to UMC as well, and their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
