A neighbor, Bill Fisher, told News 3 he and a group of neighbors ran to the home after they noticed a fire spreading inside.
"The door was locked so we couldn't get in," said Fisher. "Within two minute come out of my house, the flames started up in the back."
Fire crews arrived quickly and what Fisher saw next was devastating.
"The fireman carried the little girl, she was the first to come out and they put her in the ambulance, and they started CPR on here right away, and that broke my heart seeing that because like I said, I've known that little girl her whole life," said Fisher.
The six-year-old girl remains in critical condition. Her grandmother also inside is in critical condition as well.
Fisher says he was told the grandfather Ignacio Meza died.
"They were more than neighbors, they were friends," Fisher told us.
Fisher said he'll now look over the home as his friends go through a very difficult time and say he's here to support them in any way he can.
"I'm praying for them. We've been praying ever since it happened last night. We were worried, we knew they were in there," he said.
North Las Vegas fire crews are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
