One person who has been critical of the governor is Las Vegas Mayor, Carolyn Goodman, who wants fully re-open the city immediately.

In a one-on-one interview with News 3, Mayor Goodman says it's time for Las Vegas to get back to work.

The mayor is an independent, and she's not one to hold back. She previously referred to the governor's stay-at-home order as "insanity."

Earlier today on MSNBC, two guests came out against the mayor, saying she does not represent the Strip, and that her ideas are the insane ones.

Specifically, the mayor says she prefers an approach that assumes everyone is positive for the virus, and people make their own decisions about risk exposure.

The mayor also disagrees with the governor's ideas about getting as many people as possible 'tested' for the disease. She implied that testing would likely just be a waste of time.

“You test me right now, and then I go to the grocery store, put on my mask, and tomorrow now I'm positive,” said Goodman. “You better test me tomorrow. And then you better test me next week. And maybe next month test me again. And hopefully, sometime in the next year, we're going to have a vaccine."

The mayor says she has nothing personally against Governor Sisolak, and the city will have to follow the directive. However, she says her preference, and that of many of her constituents is to put Las Vegas back to work.
