Local McDonald's evacuated, 3 sent to hospital after pepper spray incident

Police are investigating a pepper-spraying incident at a local McDonald's that sent multiple people to the hospital. (Robert Varela | KSNV)

Las Vegas Fire and Rescue reports that McDonald's near Sahara Avenue and Arville Street has been evacuated due to a pepper spray incident inside the restaurant.

It was reported around 9:20 a.m. on Thursday.

Police say 2 people were involved in an argument, leading to one pepper-spraying the other.

Investigators say 4 people were examined on scene. 3 more will be taken to the hospital to be examined. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating.

McDonald's has released the following statement:

"The safety and well-being of our employees and customers at our restaurants is our highest priority. We're grateful for the law enforcement and medical professionals who responded to this situation so quickly.
