LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Expect more closures of Interstate 15 as crews near the completion of Project Neon.
Tony Illia, spokesman for the Nevada Department of Transportation, said the project to widen I-15 from Sahara to the Spaghetti Bowl is more than three-fourths complete.
However, about 15 more overnight closures are planned through Thanksgiving, along with lane restrictions. The project is expected to be completed by next summer.
Other parts of the project that would get attention would be near the Grand Central, Western and Industrial areas, Illia said.
Drivers are asked to check ndotprojectneon.com for the latest on lane and highway closures that are part of the ongoing project.
I-15 was closed in both directions from Sahara to Spring Mountain overnight last Wednesday for construction.
