A motorcyclist is in critical condition after being ejected in a collision with a passenger car early Sunday.

The collision occurred about 10 minutes after the driver of the Hyundai lost control and her car was sitting in the roadway.

The crash occurred at 3:47 a.m. at West Cheyenne Avenue and North Hualapai Way, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

A 2010 Hyundai driven by Briyonna Green eastbound on Cheyenne lost control as it approach Hualapai, struck a brick wall and came to rest in the rightmost eastbound lane of Cheyenne.

About 10 minutes later 34-year-old Michael Robles-Puzon was on a 2015 Yamaha FX-07 approaching the Hyundai disabled in the road. He had to lock up his brakes and put the motorcycle down the right side. Robles-Puzon was ejected and transported to UMC with critical injuries.

In the preliminary report, investigators said they believe impairment was a contributing factor for Green.

The release also said a 9-month-old child pedestrian was involved but not injured. Police did not explain how the toddler was involved.

The collision is under investigation by the LVMPD Collision Investigation Section.
