Police say a boyfriend-girlfriend argument turned deadly.

Pictures show the good times between 34-year-old Lisa Hollopeter and her boyfriend 40-year-old Joe Villanueva.

Neighbors say the couple lived together in a central Las Vegas home for several years.

Saturday night, police say they arrived the house near Rainbow and Westcliff Drive to find Villanueva shot and killed inside the home.

Detectives ended up arresting Hollopeter for her boyfriend's murder.

Gui Perere lived right next door to the couple.

"I never experienced any fighting or yelling or anything. This is the first time. It is very strange," said Perere.

Perere remembers a loving boyfriend and girlfriend. He tells us the day Villanueva was killed, he waved at him.

"When I was working they come and talk with me. They give me grass cutting tips. They are very good neighbors. Very nice," said Perere.

Police say just before the shooting the couple had an argument. Connie Love lives right across the street from where the shooting happened.

She says Villanueva will be missed.

"He was always right there to help you," said Love.

Love tells us Villanueva owned a carpet cleaning business and was always doing handy work for his neighbors.

The couple's friends and neighbors tell us this should have never happened.

"It's very hard you know. It's very hard that that happen in a family that shouldn't happen," said Perere.

Hollopeter is now at the Clark County Detention Center facing a murder charge.
