Las Vegas (KSNV) — With the start of the summer holiday season beginning this weekend, Clark County and partnering agencies are asking the public to follow the rules regarding fireworks.
It's part of their "You Light It, We Write It" effort to fight illegal fireworks.

"Safe and Sane" fireworks are the only type of fireworks allowed in Clark County and only from June 28th through July 4th.
And no fireworks of any kind are allowed at Clark County Wetlands Park and other local parks or on public lands in the region.
Anyone caught violating the laws will face fines starting at $500.
