The Southern Nevada Health District now confirms norovirus as the cause of the outbreak at Somerset Academy -- one of the two local schools which closed down due to illnesses.

Late last month, school administrators closed the school for a few days after dozens of students and a few teachers came down with the illness.

The school was disinfected and has reopened.

Last week, Imagine Schools at Mountain View closed for a few days because of an outbreak.

The health district is working with the schools to make sure they have the proper tools and cleaning protocols in place to stop it from spreading.
