3 in custody after chase across Las Vegas, barricade in northwest valley

Police say three people are in custody after a possible suspect in a shooting led officers on a high-speed chase across Las Vegas early Wednesday morning.

The incident started at about 1 a.m. when officers near Nellis and Bonanza tried to stop a pickup truck believed to be involved in a shooting Tuesday, according to Lt. Dave Sims with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police

The suspect fled, leading to a chase. The pursuit could be seen near Spring Mountain Road and Interstate 15 at one point, and police say the suspect vehicle crashed into a limo during the chase.

The pursuit moved onto I-15, and the suspect ultimately stopped and ran away in the area of Blue Hill Avenue, near Mt. Hood Street and Carey Avenue.

A barricade situation developed in a home, which eventually came to an end around 7:15 a.m. Police say three people left the home, but it's unclear how the other two are involved.
