One killed in crash at US 95 and Charleston (Thuan Nguyen | KSNV)

One person is dead after a crash at US 95 and Charleston Boulevard.

The Clark County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 64-year-old Scott E. Butler of Henderson. His official cause of death was blunt force injuries and the manner was ruled an accident.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol Southern Command Traffic page, the accident took place at 7:12 p.m. Tuesday night.

"Witnesses say a Dodge Ram crashed into two barriers, stopped in the travel lane and was stuck for two-four minutes when a white SUV crashed into it," said Jason Buratczuk with Nevada Highway Patrol.

Buratczuk says the man driving the SUV was 64-years-old and was not wearing a seatbelt.

Investigators say they are not sure if impairment or not paying attention is contributed to the crash.

At this time, northbound 95 traffic is being diverted off at Boulder Highway exit.

Commuters are to expect delays in the area.
