Downed power lines knock out power after storms, winds
UPDATE, July 20 | Power has been restored for almost all customers who were affected by outages Thursday night.
NV Energy reported Friday morning that 1,074 customers were still without power, with 7:15 a.m. listed as the expected time for power to be restored.
Most of the outages left Friday were in the area of Boulder Highway and Russell Road, where several power lines were down across Boulder.
Boulder is closed between Russell and Sunset Road as crews respond to clear the poles from the road.
The city of Henderson says it has opened an emergency shelter for those without power at the Heritage Park Senior Facility on 300 S. Racetrack Road. Pets are not being allowed.

According to NV Energy, majority of the outages throughout the city were due to storms and strong winds.
NV Energy says at this time, crews are working quickly and safely as possible to restore power to those affected.
NV Energy's outage site lists 12:15 a.m. as the expected time for power to be restored in almost all cases.
