LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Paseo Verde Library in Henderson will be celebrating its birthday this week with plenty of family fun.
According to Henderson Libraries, there will be a number of activities to mark the library branch's 20th year on Wednesday, Aug. 24.
"When the Paseo Verde Library opened in 2002, it was an innovative building with the latest technology, something we’ve worked hard to maintain over its existence," Henderson Libraries executive director Marcie Smedley said in a press release. "As libraries continue to pivot into community hubs, Paseo Verde has been a leader in that trend, offering so many resources to Henderson as well as 'traditional' library provisions."
At 10 a.m., there will be a "Happy Birthday" storytime.

Celebrity cow Molly Moo will be available for photos, and kids can make a family craft or pin.
There will also be a scavenger hunt for a chance to win Henderson Silver Knights- or Vegas Knight Hawks-themed packages.
The Paseo Verde Library is located at 280 S. Green Valley Parkway, on the southeast corner with Paseo Verde Parkway.
