LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A pedestrian suffered critical injuries overnight when they were struck by a vehicle at Duke Ellington Way and East Tropicana Avenue.
The collision occurred about 12:30 a.m.
Police said driver impairment was not suspected and traffic officers were investigating to determine if the pedestrian was crossing the street legally.
The intersection was closed for the investigation, but has since reopened.
Earlier in the night, two Lass Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers suffered minor injuries when their vehicle struck a tree at the Tuscany Casino near East Flamingo Road and Koval Lane.
