Police seek help finding red mid-size car that fled after hitting pedestrian

Pedestrian suffers critically injures after hit-and-run near Desert Inn and Pecos- McLeod (KSNV)

Police are seeking the public's help finding a mid-size vehicle, possibly red in color, that critically injured a pedestrian in the east valley Friday night

The collision occurred just before 10 p.m. at East Desert Inn Road just east of Topaz Street.

A man pushing a shopping cart on Desert Inn, 51-year-old Anibal Cabrejos-Villarroel, was struck by a car traveling eastbound on Desert Inn. The car was believed to be a Ford Fusion or similar model, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

The vehicle left the scene without rending aid or stopping.

The car will have right front-end damage and a missing passenger-side mirror.

Cabrejos-Villarroel was transported to Sunrise Hospital with injuries thought to be life-threatening.
